Drafting and composing a questionnaire

By composing a questionnaire about our targeted audience’s film preferences and their cinema habits we should be able to find trends and correlations in our audience. This gives us the potential to produce a film that our audiences are interested in, and that they can relate to. By doing this we are making our audience as wide as possible, and taking into account others issues, views and opinions rather than just taking our own opinions and attitudes into account.
Each of us composed a draft questionnaire, and we were then able to merge them into one complete and final questionnaire. By doing this we were able to spot flaws in each others questions and develop them into good ones. We were also able to come up with varied styles of questions each with their own purpose.
When designing the questionnaire, we had to take into account the wording of the questionnaire making sure we don’t lead or influence the answers, and we had to ensure the answers were appropriate for the type of question being asked. Another problem we were aware of was the idea that we need to be careful when using open questions because they can often be a lot harder to analyse and spot trends. Hopefully we have composed a suitable questionnaire that will enable us to reach our targeted information and so get the necessary information about our audience.
