Preliminary Task

Filming
On Wednesday we spent the two hour lesson filming the preliminary task. We had spent the previous lesson story boarding and planning the sequence and where we would film it. We had agreed on a location and choice of actors (we chose to use the people in our group, for ease and convenience. )
On the day of filming we able to use a classroom withing school, again a practical choice. Once we had reorganised the furniture and removed the clock from camera view (in line with continuity) we we ready to film. After establishing where the camera needed to be and when we were able to gain all the needed footage within an hour.
After checking all the footage, it then became apparent that parts needed refilming. Upon our return to the chosen location, we were asked to move to another room. Unfortunatly we then realised that by filimg in a differnet location, with different lighting and props, it was no longer possible to maintain continuity. As a result we had to reshoot the entire sequence. Therefore making the prevoius hours work void.
However because he had just shot the sequence we were able to put together the same footage much quicker and with ease.

Editing
Fridays lesson was wasted and pushed us no further towards finishing the task as we werent able to accquire the neccassary equipment to put the footage onto the computer.
