On the 11th March 2009 we were able top begin filming for our final piece. Having previously secured the location for all interior shots, we used the lesson to go to Grace's house. WE met Katie there and began filming promptly. Using the story board we were able to establish which shots should be doen in which order. Due to the nature of the ifrst few shots being extrmeme close ups and needing no actors, they were filming a couple of times for saftey very quickly. We were very partcilaur about the next few close ups that needed actors, but we worked well in securing the footage with minimal problems and maximum efficiency.
Our next scene depended on thenext door neighbour being in so we could gain access to her front door. We were able to speak to the home owner concerned and so proceeded to shooot the front door scene. Whislt being very aware of our safety when filming in the road, because it was ushc a nice sunny day we were also able to film much of the exterior shots. We had slightly more problems with positioning the actors within the shots but only because it was usch a wide shot and large amount of space was being covered by the actors.
The next walking scene provided a new challenge. Following moving action for a prolonged period of time. We decided that we had seen this sort of footage- following a conversation whilst the actors are walking. We decided that by the camera man (me) walking backwards and holding the camera we would be able to get close up and still hear the sound.
We also filmed the later shots of the group of girls and new boy. Due to the unexpected jump in our filming schdule- we were so ahead of time, we were unable to obtain the boy we wanted, but we were able to use someone else. This helped us to maintain continuity in the film.
It also left us with much more time than expected that could be used for any refilming needed.
